We highly recommend you take either public transit or ride your bike as parking is limited. A gentle reminder that no bikes will be allowed in the park. Good news is that we have free valet bike parking supported by the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation (GCAT).
On Saturday, enjoy a free Ribfest Shuttle bus from downtown to Riverside Park. See Schedule.
Q: Where do I enter?
A: There are two entrances: the main entrance is on the southeast side, north of Riverside Park’s carousel: the second entrance is on the northwest side of the park past the gravel parking area.
Q: Is there admission?
A: We don’t charge admission, but we will ask for donations at the gate. Ribfest is a fundraiser where all the proceeds are given back to local organizations. For over 25 years, the Rotary Club of Guelph Trillium has raised more than one million dollars to support our community.
Q: Do vendors/beer tent accept Visa/Mastercard or Debit?
A: NO, but there are several ATMs on site.
Q: Is it rain or shine?
A: YES. We will be serving up ribs, great food, and entertainment for the community whether it rains or shines. Make sure you dress accordingly. Bring some slickers if rain is in the forecast or sunscreen if its going to be sunny.
Q: Can I buy bottled water at the park?
A: Bottled water will not be available for sale. We encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottles as the Guelph Water Wagon will be the only source of water refills.
Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in the park during Ribfest. Service dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all times.
